The other day I headed back to North Royalton, the city I mainly grew up in, when my errands took me over that way. I ended up right by the old pool that I used to go to when I was a part of their swim team for a good chunk of my youth, so I decided to wander down to the pool itself out of curiosity. Oh, and naturally I took my camera and my brand new lovely 35mm lens.
The pool area itself was genuinely sad, as I would think all pools are in the winter. It had a certain creepy quality to being there as this pool is back in the woods by itself, so in the winter it was just surrounded with dead looking trees and leaves littering the ground, but hey, it made for some pretty cool photos, I think.
I quickly though walked around the back of the pool area and went to this awesome shell of an old bridge that as kids we’d always sneak over to. None of the parents wanted us hanging around it, obviously, because it’s just the old metal shell of where a bridge used to be and man, it just looked so cool in the middle of winter.
It was kinda fun to head back here since I haven’t been back to this pool, or this bridge, for about 7 or 8 years! And I think there was something pretty awesome in seeing it in the dead of winter looking all creepy and stuff, haha.
I hope everyone has a fun weekend filled with absolutely zero creepy old bridges, haha! Happy Friday, everyone!
