When we had Sarah & Justin’s engagement session last November, from that exact second I knew that their wedding was going to be absolutely awesome. Let me tell you, I was absolutely right. Their wedding was filled with love, laughs, and a darn good looking bridal party, and we still feel so lucky to have been able to capture it!
We started the day with the girls getting ready at the salon, which provided some outstanding natural light for us to work with. Hooray – we love natural light!
Sarah’s details for her wedding day were absolutely gorgeous. We made sure to take some time at the church before the ceremony to capture each piece of her wedding attire puzzle!
Her dress was so gorgeous, and I was super excited Sarah didn’t freak out when I said “I want to hang your dress in a tree…” so I could get some awesome photos of it! Her bridesmaids wore dresses that were in an awesome coral color and they looked so great on everyone.
The church that they chose was stunning and offered more fantastic natural light for us to use. Sarah and Justin consistently had smiles on their faces throughout their entire ceremony and it was just so great to see. You could tell that after all the planning and waiting they were so ready and excited to finally be married.
Once their ceremony was over, it was our time to hang out with the bridal party and have some fun! Let me tell you, they did not disappoint when it came to the fun department! Any ridiculous thing that we asked them to do, they were all game, and it was fantastic.
Like an impromptu dance party. We always try and do silly and different things to loosen up the whole bridal party, and a dance party is what we asked for, and got, with this group! Seriously so fun!
Once it was time for just Sarah and Justin, they really brought it. These two were so easy to photograph and it was so great to seamlessly be able to wander around Mill Creek Park in Youngstown for their photos without worrying about a thing! Speaking of Mill Creek Park, by the way, this park was super amazing. When Sarah sent me an email discussing that she loved the location and that’s where they wanted to go, I had no idea what to expect but it was just so gorgeous. Being mainly a Cleveland wedding photographer, I didn’t know much about Youngstown or what was around, and I’m so glad that this wedding took us there. We are enjoying being more and more fortunate as our company reaches more people because we are already being booked outside of Cleveland all the time and are so excited to get to travel and find more unique places for our couples.
This next image of the two of them is one of my favorites. It’s just so sweet to be able to capture moments like this between newly married couples!
We moved on in the park to this incredible steel bridge that reminded me of a castle. It made for such awesome photos and was just so cool
We headed to our last location at Lanterman’s Mill in the park and got to take some cool images of the bridal party! Justin gifted his guys with amazing cufflinks and we just had to get a shot of them all together. He was donning Cleveland Indians cufflinks the whole time and they were so awesome. They weren’t too big and bulky that they were always visible but they were a cool detail when you could catch a glimpse of them!
This group of girls was so fun! From these photos to getting down on the dance floor, Sarah definitely picked a great group to stand by her on her wedding day!
Then it was reception time! Their decor was so classic and pretty – I loved it all! The tables had a few different centerpieces all around which was so fun!
Now one of the most awesome parts of their reception was the cookie table. Yes, you read that right, COOKIE TABLE. Sarah explained that it’s tradition around Youngstown for a ton of the guests to all bake different kinds of cookies and have them all at the reception in one giant table for dessert for the wedding reception. It was pretty epic.
Seriously, Sarah & Justin, your wedding was amazing. We are so so excited to have been able to capture it and wish you two nothing but the absolute best! 😀
