Getting to be Cleveland wedding photographers generally means one thing: getting to experience crazy amounts of love and happiness that are whirling around our couple on the biggest day of their lives thus far. What I learned from Kayla & Stephen’s wedding, it can also mean that I turn into a crying mess of a photographer during a wedding ceremony. Let me explain, I’m not much of a crier. Friends weddings? Fine. Family events, weddings, etc.? Fine. Most weddings I shoot? Fine. I turn business mode on and I just ensure that I can do my job to the best of my ability without being, well, a blubbering mess. Well, the waterworks got me on this wonderful Saturday in May, and I can honestly say it made my heart feel so full and so happy that not only do I feel elated to have been able to capture these two, but I feel beyond honored. That moment, the second when Kayla reached the end of the aisle and Stephen set his eyes fully on his bride was so beautiful and so touching that I just lost it. You see, these two have such a high respect for the other, they have been courageous and tough and weathered through having a long-distance relationship with one another while pursuing higher education, and they just radiate happiness when they are together that it would be enough for anyone who has met them and even knows an ounce of their story to become a big pile of mush at the outstanding honor to witness them officially get married and then danced the night away at their Cleveland Renaissance Hotel wedding reception. Kayla & Stephen, I cannot fully express how much I cannot wait to see you guys grow into a perfect little family and to watch your lives continue. Your love and your story makes me happy beyond words and I’m so happy that we had the privilege of not only photographing your wedding, but meeting you both at all! xoxo.
