Matt and Amanda. They are friends of ours and having photographed their wedding, and their very small, intimate Monday evening wedding ceremony, is going to remain in my top few favorite career moments of all time. It was already this incredible feeling to photograph such a private ceremony for these two, but when you add in that we are lucky enough to call them friends, man, it just made the whole experience even better. I had planned on writing a single blog post for these two, combining their actual Monday ceremony and their Saturday reception & awesome party.. but I just can’t. I thought I could pick a few images from their ceremony, say a few words about how meaningful and sweet it was, but I can’t. It deserves more words. I still get a little teary eyed when I look at these images, months later, because it was just such a special moment and I feel so honored to have been able to capture it. This ceremony was so “them” and it was so perfect. Filled with beautiful blue skies, lots of love from their families, a beyond sweet first look on a dock, and pinky promises to declare their love, it was one for the books. Added bonus, they had their wedding on a tree farm of a family member, so we got to wander around the property for some awesome photos post-ceremony, hooray! So, alas, here’s part one of their two part wedding and therefore, two part blog post! 😀 Matt & Amanda, again, thank you guys so much for letting us be a part of this day and letting us document all of this, it was just freaking AWESOME.
