Meet Katie & Roger. These two are wonderful human beings, and I know this because they are dear friends of mine. ๐ I thought it was great enough that Jim and myself got to photograph their upcoming, sure to be amazing Happy Days Lodge wedding next year, but then they opted to have their engagement session in New York City and everything started to feel like it was Christmas morning. You see, there are lots of people that swear getting involved in business with your friends, and more importantly, photographing their wedding is a bad idea. FALSE. It’s the greatest, most wonderful thing ever. Plus, I trust no one and as much as I panic and get nervous because I’m about to capture one of the most important days of my friends lives, I’d much rather trust myself than some other person to do the job and freaking KILL it while I’m at it. Any who, I could go on for days on that topic but lets get back to the topic at hand: Katie and Roger. These two are hilarious and their love is the kind that happened and our whole group of friends kinda went ‘huh, yeah, that does make sense’! NYC has so much meaning to these two, and Katie in particular because she used to live in the city. Years later, Roger was brilliant enough to bring her back to her favorite tree in Central Park and pop the question! SO beyond happy to have been able to capture these photos of these gems & I’m so looking forward to their wedding next year after this New York City engagement session!
