Emily + Benny: A September Wedding at Gordon Green

Emily and Benny. Whew. While I’ve been photographing weddings for over ten years I can tell you, I don’t think there was a more chill and relaxed wedding day than this one. These two were the epitome of good vibes and the most insane attention to detail I’ve ever seen.

Good Vibes meets the most Wonderful eye for design I’ve ever seen. Perfection at gordon green.

Emily and Benny. They got ready together, just the two of them, at their AirBnB. Music played in the background as these two slowly meandered through the house, helping each other get ready, one step at a time. Cleveland weddings hit different when you’re getting ready right around the corner from your venue in the heart of Gordon Square, I’ll tell you that.

For us? We had no plans. Of course I knew the area, but for this day I really just let the vibes take over. We walked around Gordon Square. We stopped at cute walls, intimate nooks, and chatted our way through the streets of the city. As the walk unfolded, we popped into Brewnuts for a little sweet treat because hey - why not? Unscripted, tiny little moments like these are absolute heaven. This felt so much more like an engagement session with how relaxed the timeline was and how genuine we all could be through these moments.

From there, we went to their venue: the one and only Gordon Green. For those unfamiliar, this space is the most perfect blank canvas to craft your vision upon. The white walls and light wood floors lend themself to whatever your decor dreams end up being. For Emily, I can summarize her design and eye for detail in one true word: perfection. The bright, happy colors and the attention to each teensy detail that most would look past? If I had to choose three weddings to photograph again on repeat, this would easily make the cut. From the colors to the florals to the hand crafted personal escort cards that had specific and thought out notes and connections on it, phew, this one takes the cake.
